How do you know this sign?

We must admit that today this signs that known as the “swastika” is the symbol for Racists. Even these days it has become a symbol for Satanist. But it seems these impressions are wrong.

In book “Ancestry and religions of ancient Iranians”*  writer says:

The signs that is called swastika, in fact is not a broken cross and in the Christianity it is not regarded to respect. Cross dimensions are also not the same and only two lines are equal and most looks like a human body, where opens hands.

Sometimes this sign due to Hitler’s Nazi Party used and it was on the arms of party’s members and SS soldiers, because the Nazis had begun a hard and irreconcilable battle with Jews, it has been called anti-Semitic. It must be understood that this naming is not correct too and it is a misplaced phrase. Being anti-Semitic for this symbol was began that the overall recognition about this symbol with the fame of contention and fight with Jews was provided together. And thus the minds of people made and interpreted this name.

This sign is also known as Aryan symbol. However, in many civilizations such this indication has been found. Although it has thousands of years history in Iran and India, but this sign is seen all over the world including Africa, Asia (both East Asia and West Asia) and Europe. Even, other symbol that they are similar to this sign in areas of Iran and India found that had more past.

Nazis, during they were powerful, prejudice and racial superiority regarded philosophy. Their advertising and training dedicated to this work and they gave symbolic value of their being Aryans to this sign. But it does not seem that the approach to this sign in very ancient time has appropriateness with the Nazis approach!

Herzfeld had effects to finding and nomenclature of the sign. Although this sign is discussed with a name like “Swastika”, “cross” and etc. Some one knows this sign a symbol of happiness and good fortune and others have called it a symbol of the four elements. Associated this sign with Mithra religion is one of other cases that is expressed.

But it seems that these signs should be limited to a nation or a faith and religion; because its effects are seen in all civilizations. The challenge that arises is that this sign almost simultaneously is seen in different parts of world. Especially when we know it was ancient world. And the question is: how???? These cases have caused some people to know it related with extraterrestrial beings.

Qeshm

I want to start write some series posts about tourism in some cities of Iran. You can know about beautiful places in those cities and of course if you don’t have any good idea for your trip or coming vacation, you can choose one of these cities. Today I start first series about an island, its name – as you see on title – is Qeshm.

Qeshm is the largest island in the Persian Gulf, with rocky coastlines that protects a mountainous and often beautiful interior. The coast is dotted with small villages and towns. Qeshm Island is free duty zone. The simplest way is to get there by Airlines or on a speedboat at Bandar Abbas main harbor. There are lots of them departing each few minutes. The ride takes between 20 to 40 minutes depending on the boat. Unlike Kish Island you need a visa for Iran if you are arriving from another country. Qeshm Island is very long (approximately 150kms from east to west), and its main attractions are far away from each other, and therefore taxis are strongly recommended.

Today I introduce you just 3 very beautiful places from Qeshm.

1- Stars Valley

It has about 2 million years old and it’s the unique masterpiece nature of the island.Stars valley -locals are named it fallen star- is one of the most beautiful effects of erosion on the island that the locals believe, after falling a star and effect of heavy impact, soil rose up then became dry in any shapes.Features and spectacular Star Valley led the valley as part of the geopark of Qeshm island included natural monuments in the UNESCO to be registered. Qeshm geopark with beautiful natural and historical monuments is the only geopark in the Middle East .

2-Xarbes Caves

This cave is remains of the large village Xarbes that now completely destroyed and except cemeteries and a lake, nothing isn’t left of it.This village at least until 1400 years ago,was a good place for life, explorers and ship guards. They are series of interconnected caves, originally formed by geologic erosion and expanded by human back to the Median age (1,000 B.C) continued up to recent centuries. Many different applications are considered for the caves, from somewhere for sheltering from pirates to somewhere for worshiping Gods; Xarbes is also said to be an ancient Mithraism temple and its original name was probably Xorpas (Xor=Sun & Pas=Guard). There are some cravings of holy ancient symbols inside the caves.
Xarbes caves are one of the Qeshm Island’s main tourist attractions.

3-Harra sea forest

Harra ( Mangrove ) species whose scientific name is derived from Iranian sage and philosopher, Avicenna, 3 to 6 foot trees that live in salt water. In fact mangrove tree is a natural desalination plant. Mangrove forests due to ecological conditions are favorable, safe habitat for migratory birds from the tropical regions. Wet and mangrove tidal zones, habitats for clams, crustaceans and fishes are created; and it is a suitable place for poultry and fish-eating marine especially white marine heron.

Hafiz Respect

Hafiz Tomb

My heart no longer brooks my hand; sages, aid for God my woe!                                                   Else, alas! my secret deep, son the curious world must know
The bark we steer has standard: O breeze auspicious swell                                                            We yet may see once more the Friend we love so well
O bounteous man, since Heaven sheds o’er thee blessings mild                                                    Inquire, one day at least, how fares misfortune’s child
What holds in peace this twofold world, let this twofold sentence show:                                    “Amity to every friend, courtesy to every foe”
Upon the way of honour, impeded was my range                                                                              If this affect thee, strive my destiny to change
Seek drunkenness and pleasure till times of strait be o’er:                                                             This alchemy of life can make the beggar Kore
Submit; or burn thou taper-like, e’en from jealousy o’er much:                                                     Adamant, no less than wax, melts beneath that charmer’s touch
When fair ones talk in Persian, the streams of life out well                                                             This news to pious Pirs, My Saki, haste to tell
Since Hafiz not by his own choice this his wine-strained cowl did win                                         Shaikh, who hast unsullied robes, hold me innocent of sin

Oldest Animation And Dice of the World Found In Burnt City – Burnt City part 3 – last

burnt city 9

In the past few years archaeologists have discovered a number of important and unique artifacts including a 10-centimeter ruler with an accuracy of half a millimeter in the ruins of the ancient city. They have also unearthed an earthenware bowl at the Burnt City which bears images of what experts believe is the world’s oldest “animated” picture drawn around it, as well as the oldest dice in the world.

A total of 52 skeletons were discovered by a joint Italian Iranian archaeological team in the 5200-year-old Burnt City.

Twelve of the skeletons belong to children and a skeleton of a newborn is among the discoveries. A large number of the graves excavated during previous seasons belong to children. Infectious diseases are the main reason for the large number of children. Three women and four men who died sometime between the ages of 45 and 60 are among the skeletons.

ARTIFICIAL EYEBALL ABOUT 7000 YEARS AGO – Burnt city part 2

burnt city 2

Even more recently, Burnt City has been identified as one of the rarest ancient cities in which women were in charge of their family’s financial affairs!

Before the Burnt City, some 137 historical hills had been identified by this Center in the vicinity of Burnt City historical site. Archeologists believed that most probably these hills were settled by the Burnt City inhabitants during the ancient times. The discovered historical sites are located 6-8 kilometers from the Burnt City and some cultural evidence such as broken clays similar to those discovered in Burnt City have been unearthed in these hills.

Archeologists have also found a well-preserved building in the residential area, covering around 80 square hectares of the total 151 square hectares of the ancient city.

Toward the end of the second millennium BC, Burnt City came to a cultural standstill; and archeological evidence shows that this ancient civilization of the Eastern plateau of Iran somehow vanished from the face of the earth at the beginning of the first millennium BC.

BURNT CITY part 1

Key to lost civilization

burnt city

Located 57 kilometers from the city of Zabol in Sistan va Baluchestan province, southeast Iran, Burnt City is one of the most important prehistoric sites of the country which was well developed during the third millennium BCE.

Spreading over a 300,000 hectare area, Burnt City is recognized as mainland-Iran’s largest prehistoric site. The city experienced four stages of civilization and was burnt down three times, which is why it was named ‘Burnt City.’ Discovery of hundreds of historical sites including 166 satellite villages together with large numbers of archaeological relics, skeletons, and ancient structures in the archaeological site of Burnt City makes it holder of an unparalleled record in the history of archaeological activities in Iran.

Judging by the artifacts recovered in the area, the inhabitants seem to have been a race of intelligent people who were both farmers & builders of various crafts. So far no military ware has been discovered, suggesting the peaceful nature of the residents. What is really strange about burnt city is the fact that it has no connection to any other old civilizations in the area, as if it completely came from elsewhere.

One of the prominent relics found in the Burned City is a skull that according to the anthropological studies is the first evidence of brain surgeries in prehistoric Iran. Recent archaeological studies, has led into new discoveries in the architectural style of this city’s buildings as well as finding the biggest pre- historic clothe collection in the Middle East.
